Since switching to a primarily plant-based diet about a year ago, I am continually impressed with the plant-based products I am finding on the shelves of my grocery store. Miyoko’s European Cultured Plant-Based Butter is one of those products. Seriously, this product tastes like butter without all the red flag ingredients like animal fat and hydrogenated oils. It is lightly -salted and not quite as hard as dairy butter at a cold temperature. The cost is around $5 (Safeway) to $6.50 for 8 oz. (Miyoko website & specialty stores).
Here’s some info from their website…
Crafted for baking. This unsalted European-style vegan butter tastes and performs like traditional fine dairy butter. You won’t believe it’s made from plants. The butter is wrapped in a compostable wrapper designed with baking measurements.
8 oz • Non-GMO • Lactose-Free • Gluten-Free • Soy-Free • Palm Oil Free • Kosher • Contains Nuts
Ingredients: Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Cultured Cashew Milk (Filtered Water, Organic Cashews, Cultures), Filtered Water, Organic Sunflower Oil, Contains 2% or less of Organic Sunflower Lecithin, Organic Cultured Dextrose, Natural Flavors Derived from Oregano, Flaxseed, and Plums, Lactic Acid
This would be a better alternative to Earth Balance which has palm oil, trans fat, and a plastic tub for packaging. After tasting this product I will be switching from organic butter to Miyoko’s. I couldn’t give up my butter until now.
Try it. You won’t be disappointed!
